Contains hydroquinone including flavonoids, triterpenes, methyl salicylate, and tannins. Also used for detox as a diuretic. It is used to flush out  infectious microorganisms.

Also used to treat urinary tract, gout and rheumatism.

It is used both internally and externally to treat skin infections.  It is used as an astringent and can be added to toners.  It is used to treat blisters and sores.

Can be used as a substitute for uva-ursi.

No know contraindications.
